Manchester United vs Chelsea
Old Trafford is the scene for an exciting start to the Premier League season which features two top sides. Manchester United will be looking to begin with a bang and cast aside last years disappointments while Chelsea will be hoping to continue its rich vein of form. But, for two closely matched ring rusty sides, the most logical selection, in this case, seems to be the draw.
Leicester City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Leicester fans will be hoping their stellar recent form continues, however, the loss of key defender Harry Maguire will no doubt put a spanner in the works. The home side faces a Wolves team who proved last season that there is no doubt they belong in top-flight competition. This improvement is expected to continue, and as such, Wolves are chosen to be victorious.
Newcastle United vs Arsenal
The Gunners invade St James’ Park as they kick off a new quest for Premier League glory. If history is anything to go by, the visitors should get off to a good start. Arsenal has had great success as this venue in recent years, having won five of their last six Premier League away games against Newcastle. This trend is unlikely to change in this encounter.
Atletico Madrid vs Juventus
The International Champions Cup brings fans a mouthwatering clash between powerful adversaries. Anyone determined to pick an outright winner though would be hard-pressed as these are two distinctly evenly matches teams. So, it comes as no surprise that shrewd pundits are tipping the draw, which seems to be the most logical selection for this encounter.
Lille OSC vs FC Nantes
While the home team appears to be the stronger side, their recent defeat at the hands of Roma will give fans reason for concern. Perhaps this apprehension will prove well-founded as Nantes is showing signs of class, having closed last season off strongly and put up some decent performances in friendlies recently. As such, the upset is predicted and the visitors are chosen to prevail.
